Ben Kimbrough

Ben Kimbrough was the fifth child of seven children. He was born to the late Hosie and Carrie Lee Kimbrough on November 16, 1950, in Kosciusko, MS.

Ben received all of his education in Kosciusko, MS. He attended the Buffalo County School, North Side Elementary, Tipton Street High and Kosciusko High School.

Ben gave his life to Christ at an early age, uniting with Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He lived his life surrounded by his family and friends who really loved and cherished him. He will truly be missed.

In 1975, Ben married Alice Rimmer, and they remained united until his death. To their union one son was born, Marcus Kimbrough.

Ben began working for Lawrin Lamp of Kosciusko as a stocker in the early 70's. Later he went to work for Monroe Cleaning Service where he developed commercial cleaning skills. In the early 1980's he began working for Spot Cash Wholesale Company as a truck driver where he served for 25 years until the company closed. He was employed as a Lefleur Driver. He continued to utilize his commercial cleaning skills as a custodian for CMI Head Start Program as well as joining JL Foster Enterprise; as a team member, upon Jimmy Foster's retirement, Ben became an entrepreneur and took over the business as the sole-proprietor.

Ben is preceded in death by his mother and father, Carrie Lee and Hosie Kimbrough, sisters, Willie Lee Mallet and Ruby Sharkey.

On November 1, 2024 Ben departed this life and left to cherish his loving memories, his wife Alice, his son, Marcus of Brandon, MS, one grand-daughter, Deshondra of Columbia, MS, three sisters, Earlene Henderson of Kosciusko, MS, Hattie McLaurin of Sallis, MS, Annette (Tracey) Kern of Kosciusko, MS, one brother, Hosea (Trish) Kimbrough of Milwaukee, WI. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
