Ray Charles Campbell, affectionately known as “RC,” was born on July 26, 1937, in Kemper County, MS, to the late Addie Pearl Jimmerson Burton and Prentiss C. Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a United States Army veteran who faithfully served his country. He worked for Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and retired after 32 years of service.
He was a dedicated member of Little Rock Baptist Church, Moss Point, MS, where he served under Pastor Cortez Keeton's leadership for over 50 years.
Ray Charles Campbell was an honorable man of God. His life's passion was to serve the Lord with gladness of heart, always giving and serving others.
He touched so many lives, in so many ways. He was well-known and respected in the community as the “Camera Man,” taking pictures at various events along the Gulf Coast.
He will be remembered for his infectious smile, amazing voice, singing praises to God, playing his father’s guitar, and his love for Volkswagen cars.
He leaves behind four daughters, two sons, 20 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory with love and respect.
All will thoroughly miss Ray C. “Camera Man” Campbell.
The Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Little Rock Baptist Church, 4912 Gautier Street, Moss Point, MS 39563, with Pastor Cortez Keeton, Officiating.
Interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Biloxi National Cemetery, located at 400 Veterans Avenue in Biloxi, MS.
