“A Flower Is Gone, But The Fragrance Lingers On.”
Sister Margaret Ann Taylor Richards was born on February 3, 1955 in Ashburn, GA to the late Mr. Willis Taylor, Sr. and the late Mrs. Leona Hooks Taylor. She was the “Knee Baby” of eight children and the “Baby Girl”.
Margaret was raised in Turner County by her parents along with her seven siblings. She was an active child and loved to dress up her dolls and the popular “paper dolls” as a small child. As she matured into a young lady, dressing up was something that Margaret continued to do throughout her life.
Margaret was a 1972 graduate of Turner County High School in Ashburn, GA. She also attended Albany State College (University) in Albany, GA.
Margaret was presently employed with the Charleston County School System in Charleston, SC. She truly loved her job.
Margaret moved to Columbus, GA. It was in 1974 while living in Columbus that Margaret was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In the 1980’s, she pioneered in service. Margaret moved to Charleston, SC where she served faithfully in the Charleston Congregation until her demise on November 7, 2024. She was an avid Bible student and was diligent in her commitment as a Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was not hesitant in professing her love for Jehovah, because she knew He unconditionally loved her.
