09/09/1962 - 10/21/2024

Janice Denise Thompson was born on September 9th, 1962 to the late Louise and James Thompson in Brooklyn, New York. Janice attended Brooklyn Elementary School P.S 25, Middle School 296, and went on to finish her high school education at Maxwell. Janice continued her higher education at John Jay College, where she received her associate's degree in Criminal Justice, in addition to graduating from The College Of New Rochelle with her degree in Business Management. She didn’t stop there! Janice also received her Cosmetology License in the beauty industry.

Janice was a strong independent woman who was so full of life. She made sure to show her love and appreciation towards her family by being very outspoken. She had a very big heart, and was into giving and helping anyone she could.

To know her was to love her. Janice was the life of the party! She made it known by showing her dance moves and singing loudly with all her heart. Janice Thompson was the definition of “the goat”. Today, we gather here to say goodbye to Janice, but we will continue to cherish her beautiful soul. We will honor her legacy by living our lives to the fullest.

Janice leaves to cherish in her memory her four children, Sha-Deena Smart, Janay Thompson, Day-Shawn Carmon, and Briana Thompson. Her two brothers, Brian Thompson and Wilfred Thompson; five grandchildren, Naheem Sergeant (A Angel Above), Corey Petersen Jr, Kamya Petersen, Dillan Carmon, Daylen Carmon and her one grandpup Dash Thompson. In addition to a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
