Kathy Glaze Baty 73 of Sunset, Texas passed from this life on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024 in Bowie, Texas.

Graveside services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15th, at the Thompson Cemetery in Copeville, TX.

Kathy was born and raised in Kennedale, Texas to Joseph and Ada Marie Glaze. She attended school in Kennedale, and graduated from Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Kathy attended North Texas State University. After graduation Kathy went on to pursue a career in accounting at Esco Elevator Company where she met the love of her life Bill Baty. Together they enjoyed many years together ranching in Sunset, Texas.

Kathy was known for her unwavering independent personality and her desire to stand up for her beliefs. Family was a core value for Kathy and she will be lovingly remembered by them.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Ada Marie Glaze; sisters Linda Ford, Judy Glaze, and Jo Ellen Black; and husband Bill Baty.

Kathy is survived by her sisters, Barbara Hawley and Sheridan Brewer; stepchildren, Mark Baty, Pamela Loewe (David), and Sandra Stanglin (Cary); grandchildren, Willy Stanglin (Matty) and Katelyn Clinton (Lance);great-grandchildren, John and Lucy Clinton; nephews, Darrell Bowlin (Kori) and Rick Ford (Brandi); and a host of great-nephews and nieces.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, Kathy has requested donations be made in her honor to the Sunset Fire Department.
