Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Mt. Zion CME Church, Smiths, AL Rev. Melvin Perry, Pastor and Rev. Desi Echols, Officiating. Public viewing is 12:00 - 4:00 P.M. Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Sis. Frazzie Lee Johnson, 96 years of age, departed this life on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Frazzie was born June 21, 1928 in Lee County, Alabama to the late Arthur Ware and Sophie Johnson. Frazzie professed her life to Christ at an early age, and joined Mt. Zion C.M.E Church in Smiths Station, AL. Frazzie worked and retired from Swift Spinning Mills Textiles in Columbus, Ga. Frazzie loved to spend quality time with her family, cooking, preparing family meals on every Sunday and Holidays, shopping, gardening, taking care of her animals, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted mother, Bigma, nurturing caretaker, dedicated church member, and friend, always thinking of others first. She was a strong, family-oriented woman and her faith elevated her to the level of “amazing.” “To know her was to truly love her.”
Frazzie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Johnson, Sr., her daughters, Sylvia Johnson Wilson, and Cynthia Johnson, and her beloved grandson, Terrance Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughters, Nita Parker, Phenix City, AL, Pat Jones Hudson (Robert), Montgomery, AL, Rachel Kelly, Columbus, GA; her son, Clyde Johnson, Jr., Phenix City, AL; her grandchildren, Vincent Parker (Stella), Van Jackson (Maryann), Rodney Parker (Charlene), Andrew Parker, Emil Wilson (Bethany), Shaye Thomas, Cordalera Thomas, Kevise Williams, Chelle Williams, Vincent Parker, Raymond Parker (Vanessa), Richard Watson, Thomas Gray, Kendez Parker, Valencia Hayes (Chris), Vanity Ford (Anthony), Vandross Parker, Trinity Mintze, Keyonna Parker, Deyanna Johnson, Victoria Johnson; a host of loving great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
