The funeral services for the late Mrs. Brenda Gail Lewis Richardson, who departed this life on Saturday, November 23, 2024, will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Worth Community Center, Sylvester, Georgia. Pastor E. Terrell Carter will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Mrs. Brenda Richardson, affectionately known as Brenda Gail, was born on July 17, 1955 in Sylvester, Georgia to the Late Mr. and Mrs. John L. Lewis, Sr. and Susie Thomas Lewis. Brenda Gail was educated in the Worth County Public School System and graduated from J. W. Holley High School in 1973.

At an early age, Brenda Gail confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Brown Chapel CME Church. Her Faith in God gave her the strength and courage to withstand life’s obstacles and turmoil. Brenda later joined Greater New Bethel Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor E. Terrell Carter.

Brenda Gail worked several years at Fitzgerald Underwear, then retired after 21 years at Cagle’s Keystone now known as Tyson Foods. Brenda Gail was grateful for her daughter’s, her sister, Anita, and her four granddaughters, Breosha Toomer, Khisma McCluster, Kenady Smith-Dassie and Asharia Toomer, taking the time to care for her when her heath declined. She truly enjoyed sewing, family gatherings, cooking, dancing and spending time with her great grands.

On September 3, 1971, Brenda Gail was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Felton Leon Richardson, Sr. To that union four children were born. Brenda later married Kenny. On November 23, 2024, God called his Angel home from Labor to Reward at Phoebe Worth Medical Center surrounded by her family. Family and friends are truly saddened by her passing, but take comfort in knowing that God is still able to do exceedingly abundant above all the we can ask for. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Felton Leon Richardson, Jr., her siblings John L. Lewis, Jr., Judy Clinton, Sarah Moore Jones, her grandson Daniel Toomer III, and her nephew Kowalski Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories a husband Kenny Morris; her loving and devoted daughters Shondalette Richardson of Sylvester, Georgia, Janeika (Anthony) Adams of Albany, Georgia, Christal(Daniel, Jr.) Toomer of Sylvester, Georgia; her bonus children Jamarr Farley of Sylvester, Georgia, Keyuana Bethea of Tifton, Georgia; twenty-one (21) grandchildren, nineteen (19) great-grandchildren; eleven siblings Geraldine McKnight of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, David (Schrita) Lewis of Tifton, Georgia, Ethel (Arthell) Brown of Sylvester, Georgia, Charles (Benny Mae) Lewis , Sherry Ann Lewis, both of Albany, Georgia, Anita (Robert) Brown, Annette Billington, Gwendolyn Lewis, all of Sylvester, Georgia; Ricky (Bertha) Lewis, Sr. of Columbus, Georgia, Michael Moore, Jeremy Blake, both of Sylvester, Georgia; an adopted sister Rosetta Dunham of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two special sisters-in-law Lora Lewis and Diane Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
