MRS. LAURA ARDELL PULLIAM WILLIAMS, daughter of the late James and Fannie Phillips Pulliam was born August 27, 1930 in Baskerville, VA and departed this life November 21, 2024 in Lawrenceville Health and Rehabilitation in Lawrenceville, VA.

At an early age Laura was baptized and joined Lone Oak Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. She attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools,

After graduation Laura moved to Newport News, VA. In 1950 Laura married the late Clarence Edward Williams, Jr. and to this union they were blessed with four children. Two of their children preceded her in death- Clarence Edward III and Roxanne Williams.

They later moved to New Jersey, where she became a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Laura was a member of the Pastor’s Aide and the Missionary. She worked in Pre-School Education as a teacher for many years.

In 1995 Laura moved back to Virginia and lived with her son, Ronald, in Manassas, VA. In 2007 she decided to move back home to her roots, Stoney Cross Road in Chase City, VA.

Laura leaves to cherish her memory: her two children- Ronald Williams, Alberta, VA and Sharon (Clayton) Wade, Tobyhanna, PA; daughter-in-law, Dr. Dione Williams, Chase City, VA; five grandchildren- Shani, Shannon, and Shawn Wade, Shanna (Vincent) Bryan- Wade, and Clarence Edward (Christina) Williams, IV; three great-grandchildren- Elias, Elliott and Elijah Bryan; brother-in-law, Robert Blizzard; two sisters-in-law, Mary Pulliam and Elzena Williams, all of Chase City, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
