OFFICIAL NOTICE OF TRANSITION: Mrs. Julia Riley Barrett ~ November 24, 1937 - November 30, 2024.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the transition of Mrs. Julia Riley Barrett, a devoted and loving matriarch, who departed this life on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the age of 87.

As the scripture reminds us, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8). We take comfort in knowing that Mrs. Riley-Barrett is now at peace, resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In the words of the beloved hymn, "It Is Well with My Soul," we find solace: "When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul."

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from the sanctuary of CDC - City of Praise - 2061 East Park Avenue, Valdosta, GA.
