Curtis Wicker was born on September 9, 1962, in Davisboro, Georgia. Renowned for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends, Curtis enjoyed playing cards and buying lottery tickets. He attended T.J. Elder Middle High School in Sandersville, Georgia, and spent many years working as a laborer and farmer at Utilicon Services Inc.

Curtis passed away on November 20, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Mr. Charlie Wicker and Winnie Dixon Wicker.

Memorial Celebration will be held Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024 at 2:00 at James and Virginia Davis Chapel.

A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Curtis touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his vibrant spirit.

He is survived by his devoted partner, Ms. Annie Lois Powell of Davisboro, Georgia, his sons, Derrick (Lineka) Powell Sr. of Augusta, Georgia, Christopher Powell (Shanetra Wilcher) of Sandersville, Georgia, Curtis Wicker Jr. (Zantillya Reed) of Bartow Georgia, Two daughters: Adrianna Wicker of Davisboro Georgia, Ty'Nirra Brown of Wrens Georgia. Six Grandchildren: Chrisette Powell, Derrick Powell Sr, A'Niya Powell, Amaris N. Williams, Ashton N. Williams, and Za'Mara Reed. Curtis also leaves behind his brothers: Mr. Wilson Wicker (Ms. Raydean Archer), Mr. Charlie Wicker of Davisboro, Georgia, and Mr. Buster Tapley of Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters, Ms. Celia Ann Dixon (Mr. Clarence Roberson) of Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Winnie E. Wicker of Davisboro, Georgia, and Mrs. Jerry (Ray) Pierce of Tennille, Georgia, as well as a host of relatives and friends who will fondly remember him.

Curtis Wicker will be profoundly missed, but his love and the joy he shared with others will remain in our hearts forever.
