MR. FELTON SMITH, JR. - AGE 84, - Of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Monday, September 12, 2011. He was a retired construction worker and veteran of the Army Air Forces. He was a member of the Baptist faith. His parents, Mr. Felton Smith, Sr. and Mrs. Mattie Mae Avery Smith preceded him in death.His family who survive him are: A close friend, Mrs. Ella B. Cleveland of Chickamauga, Georgia; two nieces, Mrs. Betty Jo Wooten of Summerville, Georgia; and Mrs. Virginia Riles of Naples, Florida; one aunt, Mrs. Lillie Mae Stewart of Summerville, Georgia; four cousins, Mr. Henry Avery of Summerville, Georgia; Mrs. Annie Mae Bryant of Chickamauga, Georgia; Mr. Leonard Avery of Summerville, Georgia; and Mrs. Voncelle Coleman of Chattanooga, Tennessee; special friend Mr. Franklin Hawkins of Chickamauga, Georgia; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. from Shady Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Montgomery officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
