MRS. BESSIE MANN HILL WHITENER ?Çô AGE 83, -Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at her residence. She was a life member of New Hope Baptist Church and retired from Atomic Cleaners. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mr. J. L. Whitener, Mr. Charlie Hill, Jr., parents, Mr. King Solomon Milton (Mary) Mann, stepmother, Mrs. Lola Mae Mann, sisters, Mrs. Marionee McCormick, Mrs. Marzelle Ray, Mrs. Addie Lee Baker, Mrs. Rubye Suttle, brothers, Misters William, John, Sol Mann, Jr., and Emmanuel North.Survivors are her loving family, one sister, Mrs. Kathleen Deloach of Dalton, Georgia; brother, Mr. David Mann of Seattle, Washington; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Frances Mann of New York, Mrs. Josephine Mann of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Ruth North of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.Service for Mrs. Bessie Whitener will be Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 1:00 p. m. at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Weaver as Eulogist, Pastor Kenneth Scaife, and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Tuesday and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7:00 ?Çô 8:00 p. m. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
