Mr. Devonte Deon Deering was born in Jackson, MS on November 16, 1994, to Mrs. Linda Deering Callahan and Mr. Billy James Lofton. He had one sister, Chelsey Jackson. A stepfather, John Callahan, loving known as Pops, and a wonderful godfather, Mr. Vernon Williams, also known as “Lil Sunny”.

Devonte received Christ at an early age, at Rising Chapel M.B. Church.

Devonte loved eating delicious food, especially when his mom cooked it. Recently, he cleaned up his life and looked forward to a new start.

Devonte was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Billy James Lofton.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Linda ( John) Callahan of Carthage, MS: his sister Chelsey Jackson of Forest, MS and his grandparents Bernice Deering of Jackson, MS Odell Robinson of Forest, MS and Winnie Pearl and Billy Joe Lofton of Smith County, MS. Aunts and Uncles: Rochelle Deering of Atlanta, GA, and Shea Deering Jackson, Ann Deering, and Benjamin Deering, Jeff Deering all of Jackson, and Benita Hamilton of Forest, MS. May beloved cousins also remember him and dear friends.
