MR. WILLIAM ROGERS DARDEN ?Çô AGE 66, - Of Kensington Community, Chickamauga Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Erlanger Health System. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Marie Darden, father, Mr. Marshall Robert Johnson, sister, Ms. Dorris Darden, and one brother, Mr. Ellis Darden.Survivors are his family, mother of his four children, Ms. Lula L. Darden of Chickamauga; daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Larry) Marsh of Chickamauga, Mrs. Tara (Eric) Gordon of Harrison, Tenessee, and Ms. Hope Sams of Rome, Georgia; sons, Mr. Robert (Robbin) Darden of Ringgold, Georgia and Mr. Tony Burse of Summerville, Georgia; grandchildren, Casslin Darden, Brishna Darden, Raven Darden, Daiz Darden, Eric Gordon, Jr., Kalius Darden, Zackary Darden, Toni Burse, and Chanel Burse; great grandchildren, Markavian Darden, and Makaylee Darden; brother, Mr. Vandell Johnson; sisters, Ms. Wanda Boykins and Ms. Vickie Junell Darden; special cousin and caregiver, Rev. James Clark; special friends, Mr. Mack Wiggins, Mr. Hillie Baker, Mr. Marvin Hinton, Mr. Ronnie Hightower, and Mr. Cleophes Heard; aunt and uncle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Funeral service for Mr. William Rogers Darden will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. from the New Hope United Methodist Church located at 309 Martin Street Summerville, with Rev. Charles Dodson, Pastor Barrett and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service and his remains will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
