MURL DEAN SHROPSHIRE, SR. ?Çô Of Atlanta, Georgia passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. George G. Shropshire and Mrs. Katherine Stalling Shropshire.Survivors are his loving family, his wife of thirty-five years, Mrs. Jackie Shropshire; daughter, Ms. Amber Shropshire of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons, Mr. Murl D. Shropshire, Jr. of LaFayette, Georgia, Mr. Nicholas A. of Jacksonville, Florida; five beautiful grandchildren, Wilford, Ariana, and Soniyah Sims of Atlanta, Nicholas Shropshire, Jr., and Quincy Santana of Jacksonville; mother-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Wheeler of LaFayette; three sisters, Ms. Sharon Shropshire, Gwendolyn Shropshire, and Sandra Montgomery; two brothers, Mr. Vernon Shropshire of LaFayette, Mr. George Sherman (Shirley) Shropshire of Smyrna, Tennessee; two very special people, Ms. Sonya Garcia of Atlanta, Yarkis Santana of Jacksonville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.Funeral Service for Mr. Murl D. Shropshire, Sr. will be Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1:00 p. m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Rheubin M. Taylor, Sr., officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 a. m. and at the church on Saturday from 11:30 a. m. to the funeral hour.
