Mrs. Doris Hanson Payne, age 83 of Atlanta, GA passed December 9, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Little Valley Baptist Church, 4999 New Kings Bridge Rd, Nicholson, GA with interment in Nimno A.M.E Church Cemetery, Nicholson, GA.

Viewing, Friday 3-7 PM, at the funeral home.

Survivors include: her five children, Jacqueline Laverne, Anthony Lamar (Marcelle), Dexter Bernard (Deborah), Alan Tobias and Terrell Martin (Karla); her adopted son, Alberto and adopted daughter, Karla; her ten grandchildren, Alexis, Brooke, Gabrielle, Jasmine, Brittany Anthony, Jordan, Julian, Zharia and Zakia; her ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She also leaves a host of children and young adults who have considered her their mother and grandmother over the years. Doris also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Donnie; her nephew Michael; her two great-nephews; her Aunt Mary Brown and her aunt’s three children.
