MR. CHARLES RAYMOND CHANEY?Çô AGE 76, - Of Lafayette, Georgia passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at his residence. He was a member of Steele Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Dock Bailey, Sr. and Mrs. Hattie Allgood Chaney, four brothers, Mr. Dock B. Chaney, Jr., Mr. Ben Echols, Mr. Harold Echols, and Mr. Abb Echols, Jr., sisters, Shirley Jean Chaney, Carrie Chaney, Mrs. Mary Ruth Suttle, and Mrs. Louise Womble.Survivors are his devoted sister, Ms. Charlotte Chaney of Dalton, Georgia; special nieces, Ms. Renee Mathis, Regina Dillon of Dalton; Mrs. Barbara McCutchins of Trion, Georgia; Eurskia Dillon and Micah Lee of Dalton, Georgia; special nephews, Cassius Lindsey of Dalton, Georgia; Mose Mathis III of Nashville, TN; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Jewell Echols of Trion, Georgia; Mrs. Marlene Chaney of Chickamauga, Georgia; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ located at 104 West Main Street, Lafayette, Georgia with Minister Aaron Pope and Minister George Carlisle officiating.
