Mr. Hulee Melton, son of Lucile Melton and the late Presley Melton, was born on January 14, 1953, Anson County North Carolina. He left this world for a better home on December 10, 2024, at the home of his sister Alva Melton after a courageous effort at life with his family, friends and community.
Hulee attended the public schools of Anson County and was a graduate of Bowman Senior High School’s class of 1971. He later went on to serve in the US Military, Air Force Division where he served as Medical Service Technician, with multiple awards for service. After discharge he went on to become an entrepreneur working in Environmental Technician of Homes.
Hulee was a man whose life was defined by his deep faith, love for others, and his commitment to his family, church, and community. He dedicated his life to sharing the love and wisdom of God. An active and devoted member of Life Redeeming Faith Ministries of Morven, NC, he faithfully served as Finance Officer, Praise and Worship Team member, Judah Ensemble member, Intercessor and taught Sunday School, offering guidance and inspiration to all who were blessed to hear him. His love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of his life, and he shared this love freely through teaching, prayer, and most powerfully, through song. His voice lifted the hearts of those around him and became a cherished part of worship services and gatherings within the church, family and community. He served as faithful member of the “Voices of Harmony: quartet for many years.
In addition to his service to God, Hulee also served his country in the United States Air Force as a Medical Service Technician. During his time in the military, he displayed the same dedication, discipline, and care for others that characterized his civilian life. Upon his discharge, he continued to carry those values with him, using his experiences to further enrich his community and serve those around him.
Though he did not have children of his own, Hulee was a loving and supportive presence to his family and friends. He was a constant and dependable source of support for his family, offering encouragement, kindness, and care in times of need.
Though Hulee, is no longer with us in body, his legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He has left an indelible mark on our lives, teaching us through his example the POWER of a life rooted in love for God and others.
