MR. J. C. LIGHTNING- AGE 74,- Of Marietta, Georgia passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at Kennestone Hospital. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Rydal, Georgia. He was retired from Sanders Roofing Company. He is predeceased by his parents, Mr. Hugh C. and Mrs. Annie Lee Thurman Lightning Summerize, three brothers, Misters Billy, Forrest, and Bobby Lightning, and sister, Ms. Bernice Summerize.Survivors are his wife of fifty-four years, Mrs. Ella Johnson Lightning of Marietta, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Lee Simon and Ms. Claudine Summerize of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Mr. Arthur Summrize, Jr. of Calhoun, Georgia; godson, Mr. Joe Frank Carter; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Louise King, Mrs. Maggie (James) McMickens, Mrs. Helen (Sammie, Sr.) Roper, Mrs Zella McMickens, and Mrs. Barbara (John) Richards; brother-in-law, Mr. Issac (Georgia) Johnson; two special godsisters, Mrs. Polly Geneva Hames and Mrs. Debra Ann Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 2:00 p. m. at the New Hope Baptist Church of Rydal, Georgia with Pastor E. L. Bush and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 ?Çô 8:00 p. m. Interment, Fairview Church Cemetery.
