MRS. MARTHA NELL AUSTIN TIBBS, - AGE 86, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Ridgewood Manor Health Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lucious Tibbs, Sr., parents, Mr. Silas Austin and Mrs. Pauline Austin, sisters, Mrs. Olean Taylor, Mrs. Earnestine Southern, Ms. Katie L. Austin; brothers, Misters Silas Austin, Jr., Ruben Lavern Austin, Jerry Russell Austin, and granddaughter, Pamela Michelle Shoemaker.Survivors are her two loving daughter, Mrs. Martha Joyce Shoemaker, Mrs. Sheila (Vance) Young; two sons, Mr. Lucious (Priscilla) Tibbs, Jr., and Mr. James Tibbs; sisters, Mrs. Rosa Lee Shanks, Mrs. Virginia Barrett, Mrs. Gussie Johnson, Mrs. Margaret (Tim) Jackson; brothers, Misters James Albert (Annie) Austin, all of Dalton, Georgia, Mr. Terry (Mamie) Austin of Calhoun, Georgia; sister-in-laws, Mrs. Dora Ann Austin and Mrs. Ethel Sallie Austin; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; special friends, Kay, Sharon, Gregg Lauman and family, Glenda Harkless, and other friends.Family will celebrate her life on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 p. m. at Community Fellowship Church with Dr. Stephen Thomas and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home after 11:00 a. m. on Friday until the funeral hour. Interment, Hopewell Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc.
