Obituary For Rev. Robert Knox, Sr.

REV. ROBERT L. KNOX, SR. ?Çô Of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012. He was the Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in the Burning Bush Community and the former Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Chickamauga, GA. He retired from Siskin Steel and Supply and General Shale Brick. Rev. Knox was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila McFarland, parents, James and V. T. Hunter Knox, brothers, James Knox, John Knox, two sisters, Anna Woodley, and Marilyn Knox.Survivors are his wife of sixty-one years, Mrs. Elizabeth Knox; children, Carolyn D. (Robert E.) Finnell, Anneda (William H.) Woodall, Rhonda L. (Eddie L.) Horton, Jacqueline E. (Michael D.) McGintis, Robert L. (Rosetta) Knox, Jr., Rev. Donald E. (Betsy R.) Knox, Roberta Derry, Carmen Kasler, and Kimberly J. (Freddie W.) Davis, Sr.; sisters, Jean Yates, Reba Andrews, Ida Mae Thomas, Geraldine Lewis; brothers, Lester Knox, Leon Knox, Allan Knox; grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.Homegoing Service will be Friday, October 5, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Friendship Baptist Church, 279 Friendship Road, Chickamauga, GA. with Rev. Donald E. Knox, Rev. Hugh E. Byrd, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday evening from 6:00 ?Çô 8:00 p. m. and at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Forest Hills Cemetery.
