Obituary For Artell Watkins, Sr.

MR. ARTELL WATKINS, SR. ?Çô AGE 86, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Redmond Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Lula Watkins, brothers, John Alvin Watkins, Tolerson Watkins, and William Watkins, and special nephews, Cecil Watkins and Tolerson Watkins.Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Mary Watkins; two sons, Artell (Naomi)Watkins, Jr., Rev. William Q. Watkins; two daughters, Alpha (Amos) Montgomery and Darlene (Oscar) Linley; ten grandchildren, Chris Montgomery, Darrell (Deloris) Watkins, Valerie Watkins, Jerome Watkins, Tamara Watkins, Alpha (Jeff) Peeks, special grandchildren, Stacey (Stormie) Watkins, Tamika Watkins, Michelle Montgomery, and Tabatha Linley; Nineteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; special great grandchildren, TyTiana, Jaycob, C. J., Chrisitiana, and Ulyncia; adopted daughter, Vangel Dodson, three special nieces, Donna Linley, Ernestine Tanner, and Mary McDaniel; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. William Q. Watkins, Rev. Roy E. Fowler, and other ministers officiating. Visitation will be held at the Damacus Church on Tuesday from 7:00 ?Çô 8:00 p. m. Interment will be Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
