Mr. Raymond Mintz, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
A Memorial Service will held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 1 pm Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 East Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina. Visitation 12:30 pm.
On September 17, 1958, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Raymond L. Mintz, was welcomed by his parents. Affectionately known as “ZeKe”, He transitioned to his Heavenly Home in the welcoming arms of our Lord and Savior early Thanksgiving morning, 2024. He was a resident of Ft. Wayne, Indiana for many years. He was the first born son of four children. He was preceded in death by his father, Gettys Mintz, step-father, James Whitcomb, one aunt, Georgia Thacker, four uncles, Wilburn, Thomas, Ray and Jeffery Harris. He attended Washington Street Elementary School, Aycock Middle School, Grimsley High school, in Greensboro, N.C. He furthered his education in New Orleans, La. at Dillard University. He had a love for baseball, was Miami Dolphins super fan, and loved to cook. He was a Veteran, Having served in the U.S. Army.
He leaves to cherish His memory his loving mother, Fran Mintz Whitcomb, one brother, Rodney Mintz,, sisters, Chandra Williams (Mark), Cheryl Cheston (Reginald), Patricia Tindall (James), Stancia Jenkins (Andre), Arleather Wheeler (Jerome), Donna Jones, and Tasha Madkins. A special Friend, Autumn Starner and her son Dominick, Nieces Kayla, Madison, Asia, and Melodie, Nephews, Jonathan, Philip (Brandy), Ryan, Rah, Reginald II, Alvarez, and Shane. Additionally, many cousins and friends.
While He will be missed on this side of Heaven, His infectious smile, sparkling eyes, quick wit, deep baritone voice, and the love He shared with others will keep him alive in our hearts. We love and will miss you always.
