MR. CHARLES LAMAR JONES- AGE 53, Of Hampton, Georgia passed away Monday, December 31, 2012. He worked at U. P. S. and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Alexander Jones, Sr. and brother, Joseph Alexander "June Bug" Jones, Jr.Survivors are his mother, Shirley Wofford Jones of Hampton, Georgia; sister, Neysa (Carlton) Mayfield of Fayetteville, Georgia; aunts, Mary Catherine Buford, Janie Sue Moore of Dalton, Georgia, and Janice Mays of Atlanta, Georgia; uncles, Vollie (LaChrista) Macon of Chicago, Illinois and Tommy Lee (Betty) Macon of Dalton; nieces, Sasha Mayfield and Whitley Coppock; nephews, Chaz Mayfield and Joshua Jones; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.Service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 P. M. at the Chapel of Willis Funeral Home with Dr. Stephen Thomas and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A. M.
