MR. DEFOREST SCOTT- AGE 72, Of Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Helen Knox Scott, Sr. and one brother, Thomas C. Scott, Jr. He was a member of Hemphill A.M.E. Church.Survivors are one daughter, Racquel (Dennis) Johnson of Bremen, Georgia; step daughter, Nischa Daniel of Summerville, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Helen Underwood of Siginaw, Michigan and Dr. Frances Reeves of Riverdale, Georgia; one brother, Robert Scott of Chattanooga, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Jamie Johnson, Kalia Johnson, Zharia Johnson, Nia Johnson, Kendrick Daniel, Eddie Farmer, Jr., Jimmy Reese, Jr., and Amaya Reese; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. from the Hemphill A.M.E. Church with Pastor Anita Clouds and other ministers officiating. The family will recieve friends one hour before the service. Interment, Georgia National Cemetery.
