Mr. Shawn Reese, 43, of Phenix City, AL passed Tuesday, December 17, 2024 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Monday, December 23, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 89 Isbell Rd, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856 Public viewing is 12:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Shawn Reese, aged 43, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on December 17, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Shawn was born on June 14, 1981, to Brenda Jakes and Shawon Jakes.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Julie and Willie Reese, and his paternal grandparents, Nimrod Jr. and Mary Jane Jakes. Shawn is survived by his children, Brandon Taylor, SherKayla Jakes, and Sha'Auria Reese; his brother, Cory (Jalisa) Jakes; his sister, Kimberly Jakes; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
