Obituary For Robert Curtis

MR. ROBERT W. CURTIS - AGE 73, - died Monday, March 18, 2013 at home under the care of Heartland Hospice after a battle with lung cancer.He was a 1963 graduate of Ft. Valley State University. Robert was a State Farm Agent for more than 33 years. Before joining State Farm, Robert served in the Georgia school system in Gray, Georgia and Treutlen County in Soperton, Georgia.He is survived by his wife, Sarah (Frink) Curtis; sons, Robert W. J., Jr. of Leesburg, VA., Rodney W. of Nashville, TN. and Perryn D. of Huntsville, AL.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters, Frances Marie Harvey, Annette Curtis-Williams, and Brenda Sue Harris; and brothers, Ernest Eugene and William Marvin. Robert will be sorely missed by family and friends.Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 with a memorial service to begin at 7 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with Georgia State Representative Al Williams speaking.Robert will be lying in state from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Willis Funeral Home, Inc. Dalton, Georgia. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Sonoraville Baptist Church, 262 Old Fairmount Rd. S.E. Calhoun, Georgia with Linton Jordan speaking.
