It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Minnie L. Taylor, beloved mother, and friend, who departed this life on December 13, 2024, just days shy of her 70th birthday. Born on December 16, 1954, in Warrington, Georgia, Minnie spent her life promoting kindness and compassion in all her endeavors.
Minnie made her home in Sharon, Pennsylvania, where she became a cherished presence in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Minnie dedicated many years of her life to her career in the hotel industry, specifically at Quality Inn formerly known as Holiday Inn, where her warmth and work ethic made a lasting impact on guests and coworkers alike.
Despite facing life’s challenges, Minnie’s spirit remained unyielding and undaunted. She continued to inspire her family and friends, teaching them the true meaning of resilience and love. She found pleasure in sharing moments with her children and grandchildren, showcasing her culinary skills, playing card games and celebrating the victories of her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
Minnie is survived by her cherished children, Jessie Ann Taylor (Sharpsville PA), Alfred Taylor (New Wilmington PA) Paul Taylor (Sharon PA), Elaine Taylor (Sharon PA) and Jannitta Sellers Sharon PA) each who will carry forward their mother’s legacy of strength, warmth, and caring.
Fondest remembrances will remain with her brothers Jessie L. Taylor, Leroy Taylor and Michael Taylor, all of Sharon PA and a very special sister-in-love Barbara Taylor of Danville IL. The radiance of her legacy will shine through her 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six godchildren.
Minnie will be remembered fondly for her ability to bring joy into the lives of others, and her laughter will be missed dearly. She also leaves an abundance of family and friends whom she loved fiercely.
As Minnie transitioned into eternity, she now is seated with her beloved mother Jessie Lou Ivey Taylor and father Leroy Taylor Sr., siblings Shirley Roye Taylor, Jerry Taylor, Hessie Taylor, James Taylor, Willie James Taylor and Willie Roy Taylor at the ancestral table who preceded her in death.
