Obituary For Louise Harris

MRS. LOUISE BOLDEN HARRIS - AGE 92, - Of Cartersville, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013. She was retired from the North Carolina Mutual Insurance Company for over 20 years as an Agent. She was a lifetime member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where she served in Cleo, Galeda Sunday School Class other capacities of the church. Mrs. Harris was the State of Georgia's First Recipient in 1988 as the Adoptive Parent Family of the Year Award. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Fred E. Harris; mother, Mrs. Sallie Lou Bolden; and father, Mr. Walter Bolden.Survivors are her devoted daughter, Susan Harris Thomas; loving son, Eric O. Harris; beloved granddaughter, Hannah S. Thomas, all of Cartersville; her loving godson, Jeffrey E. (Tanya) Thompkins of Atlanta; extended family, Vanessa (Bennie) Hill of Acworth; her girls, Kesha Beavers, Shantal (Derrick) Burr of Powder Springs, Kristian Clonts, Justin McDaniel, Hailey Burr, Martin and Janie Spencer. She was known as Nana to her girls, Tiffany Spencer and Ellisa Douglas. She also leaves to mourn, two special cousins, Betty (Andrew) Weems of California, Queen (Ralph) Lowe of Cartersville; other relatives and friends.Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Cartersville, with Dr. Ed Rhodes as Eulogist. Her remains will lie in state at the church from Noon until the funeral hour. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery.
