OBITUARY

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept then faith’ henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” II Timothy, 4:6-8

The cross that presses so heavy is light and sweet today. It lost its weight this morning, when Jesus came my way. On December 16, 2024 our beloved Frankee Margareet Ragsdale entered into eternal rest.

Frankee was born March 10, 1983 to the late Frankie Ragsdale and Laura Robinson Ragsdale of Bracey, Virginia. She was a devoted mother, sister, cousin, niece, and aunt to all she was acquainted. At an early age she was baptized at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Frankee was educated in the Mecklenburg County Virginia schools and continued her education at Southside Community College; receiving an AAS Degree in Business Administration. She furthered her education at Virginia State University earning a BS Degree in Business. Her career led her to Management positions at Enterprise, Fortis, Empire Beauty and ALBC School. She was also an independent hair stylist, who had regular clients on a monthly basis.

“Sometimes the road seems long, as we travel through the years, and with a heart that’s broken and eye’s brimful of tears; we falter in our weariness and sink beside the way, but God leans down and whispers, Child there will be another day and the road will grow much smoother and much easier to face. So do not be disheartened for this is just a resting place.”

All who encountered Frankee, realized that she was a true fashionista, diva, who had a way with hair, clothes, jewelry and make up. Her smile and her entire persona were infectious to all she met.

Frankee leaves to cherish her memory: her son- Jaidon; sister- Laurisa “Bird”, and Sherrod, who was reared as a brother, all of the home; a very significant other- Tyrell Davis, Richmond, VA; aunts- Christine Johnson, San Antonio, TX; Mary (Darnell) Evans, Oxford, NC; Rev. Shelia K. Robinson, Durham, NC, Shirley Robinson, Henderson, NC and Margaret (Keith) Spencer of Maryland; uncles- Joseph M. (Kathleen) Robinson, Boydton, VA; Larry (Sheila J) Robinson, Prince George, VA; Eddie (JayCynthia) Robinson, Wise, NC; Dwight Robinson, Fayetteville, NC; Herbert (Bertha) Ragsdale of Alabama; John and Howard Ragsdale both of South Hill, VA and a host of other relatives, friends, clients, and colleagues. Also cherishing her memory are her God children: Shakera Burchette, Kyasia and Shamya Williams, Savannah Herring, and Jalen Gregory. Along with all others, Frankee leaves her life-long friend and confidant Brennetta Gregory with a heavy heart and a special group of COUSINS are very heart broken.
