MRS. ROSIE MAE WHITLOW TURNER UPSHAW - AGE 87, - Of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her residence. She was a member of Cove Road Church Of God and was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Upshaw, and parents, Sylvester Whitlow and Maggie Clemons Whitlow.She leaves behind to cherish her memories four daughters, Rose Mary (Reynold Lee) Jones, Doris (Willie) Lay, Shirley (Casper) Bailey, all of Chickamauga, and Betty (Larry) Howell of Lafayette, Georgia; one son, J. T. Turner, Jr. of Chickamauga; brother-in-law, Robert Turner, Sr.; sister-in-law, Mattie Simpson, both of Chickamauga; thirty-three grandchildren; eighty great grandchildren; seventeen great - great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1:00 p. m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 20 Parrish Road, Chickamauga, Georgia with Pastor James Brown, Sr. and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday evening at the church from 6:00 - 7:00 p. m. and one hour before the service. Interment, Garmany Cemetery.
