Obituary For Herbert Gainey

MR. HERBERT GAINEY - Age 71, Of Plainville, Conn., formerly of New Britain, Conn. passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Aurora Senior Living in New Britain. He was born in Umatilla, Florida and was the son of the late, Plato and Therese (Traylor) Gainey. He left New Britain 36 years ago and moved to Calhoun, Georgia to work for Fafnir Bearing as a supervisor and then became production engineer.Herbert is survived by his son, Terry Harris of California; his daughter, Sherry Harris of Eustis, Florida; his brothers, Harold (Annie) Gainey of Plainville and Frank (Betty) Gainey of Webster Florida; sister, Marva Gainey of New Britian; nine grandchildren; very close friend, Reccie Simpson of Calhoun; a host of nieces and nephews.Homegoing Celebration for Herbert will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 A. M. from St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 45 Daly Ave.. New Britain, Conn., with Rev. John W. Walker, pastor, presiding. Relatives and friends may call the church on Monday from 10:00 A.
