MRS. EVELYN BELL AUSTIN PENDER ALLISON - Age 96, Of Smyrna, Georgia and formerly of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013. She was the widow of the late Otis Allison, preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Gresham, and a former member of New Hope Baptist Church.Survivors are her devoted son, Dr. Melvin (Rev. Deborah) Pender, Jr. of Smyrna, Georgia; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.Homegoing Service will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at New Hope Baptist Church, 900 Roan Street Dalton, with Pastor Kenneth Scaife, Dr. Gerald Durley, Eulogist and other minister officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Tuesday after 11:00 A. M. Interment will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a. m. at the Washington Memorial Gardens in Decatur, Georgia.
