Obituary For William Parks

MR. WILLIAM THOMAS “TOM” PARKS- Age 82, Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at his residence with family at his bedside. He was member of Bethel A. M. E. Church, a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the U. S. Army, and retired from West Point-Shaw Industries for 30 years. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Wilma Baker Parks; daughter, Janice Fain; grandchildren, Yolanda Street, Lashanna Powell, Rhonda Harts, Zachriell Beckham, and Jashia Adams; great grandchildren, William Donnell Harts and Deshanna Harts; former daughter-in-law, Marva Lou Powell; sisters-in-law, Mary Parks, Fleta Parks, Sallie Walton, Helen Manning, and Betty Baker; brothers-on-law, George W. Baker, Raymond Baker, and Henry Baker; The Charles Gwynn, Jr. Family and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Celebration of the Life of Mr. William Thomas “Tom” Parks will be held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel with Rev. Erma Raymond and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Saturday after 11:00 A. M. and the family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.
