MR. JAMES “JR” THOMAS ROGERS- Age 53, Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his residence. He was employed as a Truck Driver with Beaulieu of America. James was a member of Mountain Ridge Baptist Church and Dalton Lodge #238. He was a graduate of Dalton High School Class of 1979. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna Renee Taylor Rogers; mother, Dorothy R. Crenshaw; children, Jason Snowden, Kareem Dixon, Tammy Crawford, Veronica Starks, William (Tuesday) Starks, and Ashley Dixon; two sisters, Mimi Crenshaw and Debra (Jan) Pourquoi; one brother, Larry (Addriane) Rogers; brothers-in-law, Ivan Taylor and Donald Moore; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; loving cousin and caregiver, Cynthia Simpson; special friends, Joe Bonds, Wilma Bonds, Izell (Monica) Thurman, Ben (Barbara) Phillips, and April (Zack) Timms; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:00 P. M. at the Mountain Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr. officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Thursday after11:00 A.M. and the family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
