James Albert Jones Sr., 62, of New Bern passed Saturday, December 21, 2024 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Viewing Thursday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 11:00 AM, Friday, January 3, 2025 at First Missionary Baptist Church 819 Cypress St. The interment is 10:00 AM, Monday, January 6, 2025 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Jones, Montgomery,AL; mother, Shirley Jones Gillyard (Reverend John Gillyard) New Bern; sons, James Albert Jones Jr (Charlene) Havelock, Jamelle A. Jones and Jamie A. Jones of New Bern; daughter, Kennyatta Gardner McCall, Montgomery, Alabama (Michael); one brother, Archie Jerome Jones, Greenville; sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
