Obituary For Mattie Broome

MRS. MATTIE RUTH BROOME- Age 78, Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Frank Broome, son, Charlie Roy Broome, mother, Josie Tramble Smith, and two brothers, Bobby Joe Smith and Jerry Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Marcus) Barrett and Sherry Watson; four sons, Calvin Broome, Jeffrey Broome, Richard Broome, and Willie Broome; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Charlie Smith, Robert (Eloise) Smith, Jennie Lou (Buford) Banks, Thomas (Eula) Smith, Peggy Smith, and Barbara Ann Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service will be held Friday, January 10, 2013 at 1:00 P. M. in the Chapel with Rev. William Q. Watkins, Eulogist and Pastor Jerry L. Burse, Presiding. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 P. M at the funeral home. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
