MR. WILLIE VIRGIL LAY, JR. - Of Kensington, Georgia passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at his residence. He was born May 28, 1950 to the late Willie V. and Margaret V. Lay, Sr. and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Doris E. Lay; three daughters, Janella (Douglas) Mahone of Pine Mountain, Georgia, Debbie (Jeff) Famber of Dalton, Georgia, and Kathy Sherryl (Eric) Ervin of Kensington, Georgia; two sons, Willie V. Lay, III. of Kensington, Georgia and Torrey Lay of Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia; two brothers, Norman Lay and Johnny (Anita) Lay of Kensington; sisters, Rose Clemons, Patricia Moore of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mattie Sue (Randall) Davis; one aunt, Mattie Simpson of Kensington, Georgia; a host of sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service for Willie V. Lay, Jr. will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church, 20 Parish Lane, Chickamauga, Georgia, with Pastor Hugh Byrd and other Ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Interment, Garmany Cemetery.
