Obituary For Anthony Aker

MR. ANTHONY DELANCEY AKER - AGE 64, - Of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Calhoun Health Care Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Jodie Aker, Sr., and sisters, Patricia and Helen Upshaw. He is survived by his brothers, Preston (Janie) Aker and Wilburn Aker, Jr.; sisters, Frances Wise, Mamie (Davis) Griffin, Lavern Orr, Sally (William) Bryant, Jacqueline (Claude) Fletcher, and Shelia Edwards; aunt, Jerline Porch; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 1:00 P. M. at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 252 Church Road, Calhoun, Georgia, with Pastor H. D. Caldwell officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Tuesday after 11:00 A.M. and the family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment, Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
