It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Bernice Pratt Morrison.
Bernice Pratt Morrison passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. Born in Tallahassee on February 13, 1939, Bernice graduated from the Original Lincoln High School and continued her education at Florida A&M University, earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She was an educator, teaching in Hartford, Connecticut, and Boston, Massachusetts school systems for over 30 years.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories three nieces, Deborah Hannah, Willette Carter and Temprance Pratt; three nephews, Willie Lorenzo Pratt, Willie Carter, Jr. and Dujuan Carter; three God-Daughters, Kimela Freeman-Smith, Kimberly Govan and Carla Alexander-Clarke; God-Son, Bishop C.L. Sterling Davis, II; Bonus God-Son, Phillip (Terry) Smith and family friend, Penny Burns; and a host of great nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Macedonia P.B. Church, 1027 Dewey St., Tallahassee, with burial at Oakland Cemetery. Viewing will be from 12:00 (Noon) to 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024 at Strong and Jones Funeral Home.
