Obituary For Fannie Macon

MOTHER FANNIE L. MACON – Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, February 24, 2014. She was born March 24, 1943 in Washington, Georgia to the late Melve Verdell Rhodes and Joseph Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Murray. Survivors are her loving family, son, Minister O’Bryant (ReeAnn) Macon; daughter, Cynthia L. Macon; stepson, Charles Neal; grandchildren, Jason Ramsey, Crystal (Justin) Phillips, Chastity Macon; great grandchild, Brinkley Phillips; sisters, Anna Ellison, Josie (Willie) Powell, Annette Rhodes, and Claudia Rhodes; brothers, Jackie Rhodes, Sr. and Bobby Hinton; adopted sons, Ron Clark and Family, Josh and family; adopted grandchildren, Jasmine and Emanie Penn, Bryson and Gracie Hines; special nieces, Maria O’Neal and Evalyn Council; Godchild, Keisha Storey; caretaker, Miguel; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; special friends, Janie Bowie, Francina Lewis, Mary Ruth Austin, Albert and Dorothy Gibbs, Dr. Murray Lumpkin and Family, Gene and Barbara Jean Suttles and Family, Gwendolyn Allen, Frank Ray; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, others relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 12:00 p. m. at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stephen Thomas and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p. m. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
