Obituary For Robert Matthews

MR. ROBERT MATTHEWS, JR. – Of Atlanta, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Robert was owner of Matthews Construction Company and was a member of Cascade United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Matthews, Sr. and Elizabeth Tibbs Matthews Parker, and his brother, Howard Matthews, Sr. He is survived by his son, Robert (Vickie) Matthews, III; daughter, Elease (Harold) Maddox; son, Michael Matthews; sisters, Patsy (Ray) Henderson, Rita (Sam) Washington; grandchildren, Tamia Flemister, Apiphany Matthews, Trae’ Matthews, and Amari Stone; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service will be Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11:00 a. m. at Cascade United Methodist Church. 3144 Cascade Road, S.W., Atlanta, Georgia with Rev. Dr. Marvin A. Moss and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Hopewell Cemetery.
