Obituary For Sallie Ransom

MOTHER SALLIE NANCY RANSOM – Age 89, Of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Lehigh Acres, Florida. She was a retired school teacher of the Walker County School System, a member of the Eastern Star of Chickamauga Lodge, and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Lumpkin of Kensington, Georgia, Sandra (Nestor) Roman of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and Sharon Burse of Chattanooga, Tennessee; three sons, William F. (Letha) Ransom, Bernard (Angela) Ransom of Kensington, and Darrell Ransom of Lehigh Acres; nineteen grandchildren, twenty- one great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Idel Christopher of Highland Park, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing service will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at New Salem Baptist Church, 756 Dewberry Road, Rossville, Georgia, with Elder Andre Sharpe and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday Evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Interment, Chattanooga National Cemetery.
