Carail Morriah Elizabet Johnson

Carail Morriah Elizabeth Johnson, a native of Espanola, Florida, the daughter to the late Nathan and Easter Mae Jones, was born on July 24, 1949, the youngest of four children. “Auntie Cal,” as she was affectionately known by her nieces/nieces and close family members, grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ in her life. She was a devoted member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Espanola, Florida under the leadership of Rev. Roberts. Carail received her education through the Flagler County School District, where she graduated from George Washington Carver High School, Class of 1967. She was a member of the George Washington basketball team (Coach Danels) and played the Clarinet in the Marching Band (Dr. Preston Marshall, Dir.) She continued to pursue education, attending Florida Memorial College, Saint Augustine, Florida. On August 13, 1971, Carail married her neighbor, Larry Johnson in Espanola, Florida, to their union together they were blessed with seven children. In 1976 Carail and Larry transitioned North, where they began a new life in Waukegan, Illinois. Carail employment included: Bunnell Elementary School, Flagler County Coleman Cable (20 Years) Supervisor, Waukegan, Ill and Walmart Inc (7 Years), Accounting Office, Waukegan, Ill. In 2000 Carail, began her devoted Affiliation with the Masonic family (PHA) she served: Past Worthy Matron, Emblem Chapter #140, O.E.S., Member North Shore Court #73, Heroines of Jericho International Order of Turtles, Illustrious Commandress Shawall Court #4 Daughters of Isis On Tuesday, December 17,2024@9:30PM Carail departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love for God and cherished memories with her family.

Carail was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, Nathan and Easter Mae Jones, her sister, Margaret Mickens. Sons Larry Johnson Jr, Robert Johnson, Kyle Jones, her daughter, Elizabeth Johnson, stepdaughter Shulunda Butler and grandson Adrian Johnson, Jr. Carail leaves to treasure her memory: Her loving, devoted husband Larry Johnson, Sr; Son, Adrian Johnson; Waukegan, Ill, daughters Arnecia (Christopher)Harper, Espanola, FL, Kammie Smith, Waukegan, Ill; Grandchildren: Kyra Coleman, Avante Johnson, Jimmy Alexander, Antwan Giddens, Reginald Williams Jr, Aaron Johnson, Aniyla Smith, Andreas Smith, Charles, Adrianna Johnson. Her brother, Eugene (Ruby)Jones, Sister, Dinah Jones, Brother-in-laws: Darnell Johnson, Andrew Johnson, John Johnson, George (Sheila)Johnson, Clarence (Janice)Johnson, Edward (Juvy)Johnson, Leroy Jetter. Sisters-in-laws: Tommie (Eugene)Coffie, Barbara Long, Sandra (Leon)Alexander, Faye Johnson, Michelle (Larry)Jones, Sharon Paquita (Michael) Hizine. Special Cousins: Corrine Reddin and Marie Smith, and a host of sorrowing Nieces/Nephews and friends.

The Johnson Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 12:30p.m. until the hour of service. The Homegoing Celebration will be 1:30p.m Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Espanola, FL. The final resting site will be in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast, FL.
