Obituary For Ezra Washington

MR. EZRA EZEKIEL WASHINGTON, SR. - Age 76, Of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Helen Washington, brothers, Eddie Washington and Paul Washington, and grandson, Orlandus Harris. He was retired from the City of Calhoun and attended First Corinth Christian Church. He is survived by a dear friend, Rossunda Kennedy; children, Ezere Washington, Jr., Darlene (Theodore) Scott, Edward (Michelle) Washington, Mary Fain, Pamela (Rev. Kenneth) Woods, Addriane Phillips, Rashetta Mostella, and Jason Mostella; brothers, Cecil, Larry, David (Grace), Byron, Anthony, and Walter Washington; sisters, Janice Booth, Stella Bryant, and Angela Washington; nine grandchildren, Ambrea (Cory) Washington, Taylor Washington, Ann Scott, Tyler Scott, Iesha Marshall, Jomandi Fisher, Tarvus Machenry, Audrey (Spenser) Davis, and Darius Washington; great grandchildren, Amara Betts, Jordan Davis, McKenzie Brown, and Jaydin Harris; aunt, Ruby Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at First Corinth Christian Church, 728 Court Street, Calhoun, Georgia, with Pastor James Harris and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday Evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. and his remains will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
