Mr. Stanley Cotton, 57, of Phenix City, AL passed Saturday, December 28, 2024 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Antonio James, officiating and Dr. Robert Dickerson, Interim, pastor. Burial to follow Garners Chapel CME Church cemetery. Public viewing is 12:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, January 3, 2025.

Mr. Stanley L. Cotton affectionately called "Stan" was born August 17, 1967 in Phenix City, AL to the late Archie L. Cotton Sr. and Alberta Cotton. He transitioned from this life on Friday, December 28, 2024 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amy R. Cotton, brother, Kenneth Cotton Sr. and son Patrick Henry.

Stan was known as a happy man who brought joy and laughter to the lives of his family and friends. Stanley attended Chavala High School. He married Amy R. Threatts and to this union 4 children were born. In life he had another companion and helped to rear her 4 children.

Stan was a hard worker and provided for his family as a labor worker with Jim Cox Construction for many years.

Mr. Cotton leaves to cherish his memories his mother Alberta Cotton, Phenix City, AL; three sons David Threatts Sr, Corderald Threatts, Phenix City, AL, Kendall Henry, Columbus, GA; four daughters Taccaro Threatts, Derica Threatts (Christopher Jones), Phenix City, AL, Ashley Henry, Bridget Henry, and Jasmine Henry, Columbus, GA; three brothers Archie L. Cotton Jr, Willie (Wanda) Cotton, Tyrone (Amy )Cotton, Phenix City; three sisters Regina (Michael) Williams, Smiths Station, AL, Felicia (Anthony) Lockett, Carolyn Mincey, Phenix City, AL; twelve in-laws Patricia Banks, Elsie Cotton, Lois Walter, Barbara (Clifford) Franks, Sherry Scrubbs, Phenix City, AL, Annie (Eric) Lane, Columbus, GA, Lulla(Charles) Jones, Smiths Station, AL, Rozelle Threatts, Larry (Margaret) Threatts, Homer Threatts, Winston Threatts, and Kenny (Tearsa) Threatts, Phenix City, AL; a devoted niece Nifferteria (Fran) Parham; one god sister Thalia (Lawrence) Hardin; 28 grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
