Obituary For James 'Jimmy' Bonds, Sr.

MR. JAMES “JIMMY” MILTON BONDS, SR.- Age 64, Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Bonds. He is survived by his wife, Jeaney Black Bonds; children, James “Jim” Milton Bonds, Jr. of Calhoun, Georgia, Valeri (Jimmie) Mitchell; of Nashville, Tennessee, and Charles (Jennifer) Stanley of Dalton; grandchildren, Celina Bonds of Dalton, Christian Bonds of Seattle, Washington, Jaylen Mitchell of Nashville, Sage Stanley, Keith Stanley, Peyton Stanley, and Myles Stanley; father, Herl Bonds; brother, Johnny (Paulette) Bonds; sister, Reba (Lane) Jackson of Dalton; niece, Vanessa Jackson; nephews, Corey (Latasha) Bonds, Ryan (Nivea) Bonds, Eddie (Jill) Jackson, and Barry Jackson; special friends, Mary Lois Bonds, Lee Young, and Sylina Young; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr., Rev. Albert Hill, Jr., Min. Corey Bonds, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday Evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Interment, Chattanooga National Cemetery.
