Obituary For Howard Durham

MR. HOWARD DURHAM – Age 67, Of Atlanta and formerly of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 in Cummings, Georgia at a local health care. He was a member of the Baptist faith, graduate of Summer Hill High Class of 1965, and graduated from Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science. He was employed by a few funeral homes in the Atlanta area. In his early years, he worked at Goodyear and Lockheed. He had a love for the funeral service and for serving the families. He was preceded in death by his father, William Durham, Sr., mother, Lizzie Mary Durham, brother, John Durham, and sister, Sallie McWilliams. He is survived by his loving family, daughter, Tammie D. Harris; two grandsons, Jairus Blackwell and Ahijah Blackwell of Rockmart, Georgia; brothers, William A. (Betty Jean) Durham of Cartersville, Georgia and Mark Durham of Austell, Georgia; two sisters, Ophelia Snelling of Marietta, Georgia and Teresa Durham of Cartersville; special friend, Cathy Hughley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 8, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. W. Q. Williams officiating.
