It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. James Robinson.

Memorial services will be 11 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Strong & Jones Chapel.

Early New Year’s morning, the Lord saw fit to call him home where he would no longer suffer. Charlie is survived by his former wife: Channie Collins; daughter, Martina Walker; son, James Gardner, Jr.; sister, Mildred Robinson; sister-in-love, Margaret Hinson; four grandchildren: Jimmy Christopher III, Jurnee (DeAndre) Williams-Haynes Michael Gardner and James Gardner III; four great-grandchildren, Jaxtyn, Amir and Dyllan Haynes, Sonali Christopher; nephews, Vaughn Moore, Antonio Williams and Willie Hinson; great-nieces, Toni Williams, Tadaja Hinson-West and Kennedy Moore; great-nephew, Vontrez Moore, who will forever cherish the strength and resilience Charlie embodied. He reminded us that life is meant to be lived boldly, with purpose and conviction.
