Obituary For Leonard Sheppard

MR. LEONARD FREEMAN SHEPPARD – AGE 94, - Of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Floyd Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wives Mrs. Marie Griffin Sheppard and Mrs. Elizabeth Henry Sheppard, two sons, Robert Ware and Edgar Lee Sheppard, nine brothers, five sisters, and grandchildren. Survivors are his loving family, three sons, Rev. Thomas Sheppard of Cedartown, Leon (Patricia) Sheppard and William (Victoria) Sheppard of Akron, Ohio, two daughters, Doris (John) Jelks of LaFayette, Georgia and Ms. Angela Stevenson of Atlanta, Georgia; brother-in-law, John (Mildred) Griffin of LaFayette, Georgia; twenty- four grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. from the Marietta Street United Methodist Church, 401 S. Broad Street, Cedartown, Georgia with Pastor Bobby Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Polk Memory Gardens.
